Sitting alone on the warm, clean sands of Palm Beach; my mind drifts away with the windward breeze of the Aruban coastline. Four other bloggers end their weekend of paradise today while I lay here alone on the beach reflecting. Tragic right? Reflecting by the water is what I do best; there is something about warm weather and the scent of Banana boat suntan lotion that brings peace of mind.

In the midst of a blistery Winter, nestled deep inside a travel writer was the desire for wanderlust and happiness abroad. With recent family hurdles to surpass, I was fortunate enough to find a quick break from my winter blues. If the sight of snirt, snow puddles and inclement weather mass transit delays makes you want to vomit, join the crowd. How often do we look at travel deals to warm destinations and wish to feel sun kissed by balmy, breezy weather where we can have no worries? Sometimes, you need a happy island to cure your winter blues.

People call me crazy when I tell them I find slight turbulence on a plane a little soothing. For me, it feels like I am being lulled to sleep. With the marshmallow sky at my left, my laptop at hand and the anticipation of a new destination upon me, it's easy to feel relaxed.
