When it rains in Holland, it doesn't always pour. On the edge of the Maas River, storm clouds quickly approach to bring in rain. The lowlands allow for moderate rainfall; falling frequently all times of the year with damp and grey conditions. I could also be easily talking about how 2013 was for me, despite one bittersweet ending.

The flight was booked with less than 100 days until I would say goodbye to a place so familiar to me. Palms sweating, head spinning, and eyes locked on the Icelandair flight with one seat left for a one way flight to Amsterdam arriving on New Year's Eve. I always kept saying I would try to move before the year's end, and now, I am doing exactly that.
"One day, I'm going to pack my bags and leave this place." How many times have you heard this statement? But, what if you're daring enough to actually do this with the intention to never look back? Are you a pioneer towards a migrant movement to make a life beyond your comfort zone?
It's not a place I'd like to travel to. Imagine it as a layover that never ends. The only places to eat are not diet friendly, there is only one toilet and the white washed walls keep caving in. You're running out of money, patience and itching to go beyond your limits. This is my personal hell in Limbo.
